This study is entitled “Strengthening Environmental Literacy through the Waste Classification Board Game at PKBM Daarul Madani” The research was conducted to address the low level of environmental literacy among non-formal learners, particularly their difficulty in distinguishing between organic, inorganic, and hazardous (B3) waste. The main objective of this study was to design and implement an educational game that could improve learners’ understanding of waste classification in an engaging and meaningful way. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach combined with simple quantitative data from pre-test and post-test results. Data were collected through observation, interviews with tutors and learners, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The educational game was designed in the form of a board game titled “Ayo Kenali Jenis Sampah” which integrates visual media, storytelling, and local cultural values to support active learning. The results showed a significant improvement in learners’ understanding after participating in the game-based learning activity, as indicated by increased post-test scores and positive responses from both tutors and learners. In conclusion, the educational game proved to be an effective learning medium for enhancing environmental literacy in non-formal education settings and successfully achieved the objectives of the study.
