Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning conditions of Natural Science (IPA) on the topic of the human reproductive system and the implementation of game-based learning in Package B equivalency education at PKBM Nurul Huda. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Package B learners, educators, and PKBM managers. The findings indicate that IPA learning at PKBM Nurul Huda faced several challenges, including limited face-to-face learning time, inadequate learning facilities, and the dominance of conventional lecture-based methods, which resulted in low learner participation and understanding. To address these issues, game-based learning was implemented using an interactive quiz game adapted to the learning material. The application of this approach showed positive responses from learners, reflected in increased motivation, active participation, and improved conceptual understanding of the human reproductive system. Overall, game-based learning proved to be an effective alternative learning approach in supporting more engaging and meaningful IPA learning within the context of nonformal equivalency education.
