Abstract

This study aims to analyze learning difficulties in basic tajwid instruction and to implement a culture - based educational game called Kampung Tajwid as an alternative learning medium at DTA Jembar Manah. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving elementary- aged learners. Data were collected through classroom observation, interviews with tutors, and learning outcome assessments using pre-test and post-test instruments. The Kampung Tajwid game integrates elements of local culture, such as traditional houses and wayang media, to create an interactive and enjoyable learning environment. The implementation of the game showed a positive impact on students' learning outcomes. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' ability to recognize, classify, and apply basic tajwid rules, including Mad Thabi'i, Gunnah, Idzhar, Idgham, Iqlab, and Ikhfa. In addition, students demonstrated higher levels of engagement, concentration, and cooperation during the learning process. Tutors also reported that the classroom atmosphere became more conducive and that material delivery was more effective. Therefore, the Kampung Tajwid game can be considered an effective, interactive, and culturally relevant learning medium for  enhancing tajwid learning at the elementary level.
