Abstract

This study aims to examine the utilization of digital educational teaching aids as a medium for internalizing local cultural values in early childhood education. The integration of local culture into learning activities is essential to support children’s character development and cultural awareness from an early age. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, involving early childhood learners and teachers as research subjects. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation during the implementation of learning activities using digital educational teaching aids containing local cultural elements. The findings indicate that digital-based educational teaching aids effectively facilitate children’s understanding and internalization of local cultural values through interactive, visual, and engaging learning experiences. Children showed increased interest, positive attitudes, and meaningful responses toward cultural content presented in digital media. From a psychological perspective, the use of digital teaching aids supports cognitive, social-emotional, and moral development by providing contextual and enjoyable learning experiences. Therefore, digital educational teaching aids can serve as an innovative and effective medium for strengthening local cultural values in early childhood learning.
