Abstract

This study aims to determine how level II hairdressing training can improve participants' competency in the field of hairdressing. The focus of this study covers five main indicators: training objectives, training materials, training methods, participant qualifications, and instructor qualifications. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation involving training institution managers, instructors, and training participants. The research results indicate that the hairdressing training was effective in improving participants' competencies. The training objectives were clearly formulated and relevant to the needs of improving job skills. The training materials included theory and practice aligned with current hairdressing trends, providing participants with sufficient knowledge. The training methods used, particularly hands-on practice, proved highly effective in mastering technical skills. The diverse qualifications of the participants did not hinder the learning process, as most participants were highly motivated to learn. Furthermore, the instructors possessed sufficient professional competence and experience, enabling them to provide effective and high-quality learning. Overall, level II hairdressing training has a positive impact on improving participants' competency, including knowledge, skills, and work attitudes. This training prepares participants to enter the workforce or start their own businesses in the hairdressing industry.
