Abstract

Abstract. This study examines the role of educational philosophy in shaping the national education direction in Indonesia, rooted in the values of Pancasila. It emphasizes that Indonesian educational philosophy transcends mere intellectual development, incorporating spiritual, social, and moral dimensions in character formation. Pancasila serves as the foundational basis of the nation, embodying universal and noble values such as divinity, humanity, unity, democracy, and social justice. The research identifies current challenges in Indonesian education, including value degradation, low educational quality, and a lack of deep understanding of Pancasila as a philosophical foundation. Utilizing a literature review method, this paper discusses various philosophical currents that influence education in Indonesia. The findings highlight the necessity of integrating Pancasila's values into educational practices to foster a holistic approach to student development and address the pressing issues facing the education system today.
