ANALISIS PENGEMBANGAN SINERGI PENGABDIAN MASYARAKATBERBASIS INOVASI SOSIAL PADA PROGRAM BENGAWAN SOLO

Abstract

Social innovation development is increasingly urgent to address the dynamic socio-ecological challenges in Wonogiri Regency, where environmental degradation and community vulnerabilities intersect. In Pokohkidul Village, these challenges are manifested through reservoir sedimentation, household waste generation, and socio-economic vulnerabilities among communities surrounding the Wonogiri Hydropower Plant. In response, the BENGAWAN SOLO Program (Bangun Ekonomi dan Lingkungan melalui Wawasan Sinergi Potensi Lokal) developed the ARUS-ASIH community empowerment ecosystem to transform environmental burdens into productive assets. The program was implemented through sequential development stages, beginning with environmental and socio- economic diagnosis, followed by solution design and prototyping through a living laboratory, agricultural demonstration plots, and the Women Farmers Group “Lestari.” Program consolidation was strengthened through mechanization of the SEDARU Production House, youth capacity building, and Waste Bank digitalization, while scaling was pursued through the SEDARU Learning Center and regional fertilizer distribution. Systemic change was achieved through governance transfer to a local consortium. By integrating environmental management with livelihood development, the program increased agricultural productivity, created alternative income opportunities, continuously utilized organic and inorganic waste, optimized reservoir sediment utilization, and generated a positive Social Return on Investment (SROI), demonstrating a pathway toward resilient and sustainable community development.
