The social innovation model “PKT BERSERI” (Integrated Areal Development for Bulutana: Sustainable, Prosperous, and Self-Reliant Agriculture), initiated by PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur with various stakeholders, addresses multidimensional challenges affecting agriculture in Bulutana Urban Village. Initial assessment identified low productivity, high production costs, accumulated waste, and land-use conversion threatening local farmers’ livelihoods. The program developed an integrated solution through four key pillars, the Kampung Sawah Abadi concept, and the Sipadi Bulutana digital platform. Field implementation included organic waste processing using Biodex activator and communal shredding equipment, institutional strengthening, agricultural production support, and diversification through liquid organic fertilizer derived from livestock urine. Program scaling incorporated green tourism infrastructure, branding, replication, and official Green Tourism Village certification. By 2026, the program engaged 132 farmers across six farmer groups, reduced production costs by 23,8%, increased crop yields from 4,6 to 6,5 tons per hectare, and utilized approximately 95,91 tons of waste, demonstrating measurable contributions to sustainable and resilient rural development.
