EDUKASI DAN AKSI PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH BERBASISPARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT

Abstract

This community empowerment activity was motivated by a lack of knowledge and concern among residents in the RT. 04, Bantarsari Village, Bungursari District, Tasikmalaya City. Regarding the dangers of waste and effective waste management methods. The aim of this activity is to increase public awareness of the dangers of waste and take real action to clean up the environment in the area. The method used was interactive, followed by an environmental cleanup action with the community at the Bantar Gedang public cemetery. This activity was held on October 31 2025 with a total of 12 participants consisting of 10 men and 2 women. The results of this activity show an increase in community participation and understanding of the environmental care movement regarding waste, as evidenced by the success of the environmental clean-up action in the RT. Area 04 ended with the distribution of rice boxes as a form of appreciation. The post-activity evaluation showed a positive response, but local residents gave students the opportunity to continue holding real work action programs every month, because if there is no movement from outside parties then local residents will not have the initiative and desire to clean up their environment.
