Edukasi Lingkungan dan Aksi Bersih Kawasan sebagai Upaya Penanggulangan Banjir di Nusawangi Kota Tasikmalaya

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase public understanding and awareness, particularly among women participating in religious study groups in Nusawangi, regarding the causes, impacts, and prevention of flooding in their residential environment. Flooding in this area is not only caused by heavy rainfall, but is also influenced by low community participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness and inadequate drainage conditions. The program was implemented through two main activities: environmental education integrated into religious study sessions and the Aksi Jumat Bersih (clean Friday action). The methods included interactive lectures, discussions, case-based learning, and direct community involvement in cleaning water channels and managing waste. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding and awareness of the importance of environmental cleanliness. In addition, the Aksi Jumat Bersih activity encouraged active community participation in maintaining drainage systems and developing collective habits of environmental care. Overall, this program indicates that the integration of religious values and community-based environmental actions can support the development of collective awareness and strengthen cooperation in sustainable flood prevention efforts in the Nusawangi area.
