This community service program aims to improve children's literacy engagement by optimizing the function of the Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) in Kampung Lengo, Kelurahan Bantarsari. The program was designed in response to limited use of TBM facilities, low reading interest among children, and inadequate learning activities in the community. The LENTERA program was implemented through two sessions involving 28–30 participants, consisting of elementary school children. Activities included educational video sessions, storytelling, creative collage work, and experiential learning through simple planting activities. Data were collected through direct observation and activity documentation. The results indicate increased participation and engagement of children in literacy-related activities, reflected in higher attendance, active involvement during sessions, and improved interest in reading and learning activities. In addition, the physical improvement of TBM through decoration and reorganization contributed to a more attractive learning environment. The LENTERA program demonstrates that integrating literacy activities with creative and experiential approaches can enhance children's engagement and support the revitalization of community-based learning spaces.
