PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN DASAR BAHASA INGGRIS KELOMPOK WANITA TANI (KWT)

Abstract

Sakola Motekar is one of the village tours located in Sukajadi Village, Ciamis Regency. The tourism has been recognized by many people including foreign tourists. However, human resources, especially KWT members who will interact with foreign tourists, do not have good English language skills, which hampers communication. It is feared that these barriers in communication can affect the interest of foreign tourists in the future so that it can reduce the number of visitors to Sakola Motekar. Therefore, community service on English language training needs to be carried out to improve the ability of the community, especially KWT members in RW 03 Sukajadi Village. This training was conducted in 3 meetings for 3 KWT groups, namely KWT Melati II, KWT Mandoro, and KWT Mawar. The method of implementing this training is using the lecture method with material about daily conversation. The results obtained from this training refer to positive results because there is an increase in scores between the pretest and posttest. These results are expected to be able to help in preparing Sakola Motekar towards tourism that is known to local and foreign tourists.
